League Game Hand Book
The following is 4Fun's League Games Hand Book. This
information was compiled to help you understand the rules to
League Games in 4Fun.
1. What are League Games?
League games are games that members
play in the lobby when they are waiting for a tournament or
when they do not have time to play a full tournament. Members
call in the lobby asking for opponents for these games. For
example they may say, "need 2 for NTC league game". They
will invite the first 2 players that say me in the lobby. It
is important when calling for a game in lobby that you are
specific as to what the game is. It is a golden rule in
4Fun to accept the first 2 players that say "me".
You can play league games as singles or doubles games.
All league games are to be played at Rated and Private tables.
Only play games that are listed on the Game Rules Page (click
here
"GAMES"
for list of games)
Speed Games cannot be played as league games.
Before starting a game please make sure all players know what
game is being played and that everyone knows the rules of this
game.
2. A Contract -
League games are a verbal contract
between players. By
accepting a league game you are
accepting that you will report your loss (or losses in a
doubles games) as soon as the game is
DONE. You should
not start
another league game until the previous game has been reported.
Many players wait until the end of the day to report their
losses but then forget to report those losses. This causes a
lot of hard feelings.
So please make it a habit to report your
losses as soon as the game is done but not before it is
finished as some times things happen in games and you end up
winning. So please wait until the game is completely finished,
then submit your loss. On the main page of the league click
on STANDINGS
and the Report Loss
link is the last listing. For a direct
link click below.
Report Loss
3. Friendly reminder -
If an opponent fails to report their
loss please message them and remind them to report their loss
to you. Please do not do this in the lobby as it may embarrass
your opponent. A friendly reminder sometimes helps.
4. Wait 24 Hours -
Do not make an unreported match claim until 24 hrs after
the game was finished.
PLEASE NOTE:
This does NOT mean that the losing
player has 24 hrs to report the loss as rules state that you
will report your loses as soon as the game is DONE. You should
not start another league game until the previous game has
been reported.
5. Unreported matches -
When an unreported match is filed
against you, you will receive an email from MyLeague informing
you of this report. Please check your game stats to see if
this match was reported for you if not you can report your
losses at this time. When league operations checks into the
unreported match, if they find it has not been reported then
they will report the match. They will notify you that they have
reported the match. If it is your first offense you will also
receive a warning, 2nd offense you will be dropped on the
ladder and for your 3rd or future offenses you will be boxed
3 days.
Report an Unreported Match
6. Booted Players -
In all league games, you need to invite a staff member for
any MIA players as soon as they go missing. The staff member
will run a 10-minute timer.
For Doubles -
If the player does not return the staff member will sub for the
remainder of the game or until the player returns. If both
players from the same team are MIA then the staff member will
get another staff member to come and cancel the game and the
opponents that went MIA are required to report their losses.
The staff member who set the timer will report acknowledgement
of this game to league operations so they have a record of this
match. If however the score for the players still remaining at
the table is 3800 or more the 2 staff members will sub and
finish the game.
For Singles -
As soon as the opponent goes missing or is idle 3 minutes
please invite a staff member to the table. The staff member
will run a 10 min timer if the player does not return, the staff
member will help cancel the game unless the score by the player
who is remaining at the table is over 3800 then the TD will
help finish this game. The opponent that went MIA is required
to report their loss to the remaining player. The staff member
who set the timer will report acknowledgement of this game to
league operations so they have a record of this match.
If at any time you get booted while playing a Doubles League
Game it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
to find out whether your team won or lost
and if your team lost, you are required to report your losses.
If at any time you get booted while playing a Singles League
Game it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
to report your loss to your opponent if
you do not get back within 10 minutes.
If the Staff member who subbed played at least half the match
and their team won you are required to report the loss to the
staff member, however subs are not required to submit losses
it is up to the original player who went missing to report the
loss.
7. Disqualifications -
DQ's in league games require a staff to
be called to the table BEFORE the game is cancelled. The
member or team that DQ's is required to report the loss.
The staff member will take note of this disqualification for
league operations in case the loss does not get reported.
If you have any questions about League Games or unreported
matches, please feel free to contact our League Operations
Admins.
