You may meld anything at anytime.  In order to make canastas 
you must have the four pockets melded (4s 6s Js and Aces).  
If you make a natural canasta in 8s you automatically win. If 
you discard or continue playing you lose the auto win and must 
complete the game. No touching the pile!
