Memories of Dawn

Newfield: Dawn Marie Kinsman Fuller, age 77, of Benjamin Hill Heights, Newfield, NY passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Hospicare Facility in Ithaca, NY. Dawn was born March 5, 1936 in Brooktondale, NY a daughter of the late Edwin P. and Lauretta J. Hilker Kinsman. She attended Ithaca and Dryden Schools and was married to Richard Roy Fuller, a member of the US Air Force, in 1955 and was widowed from him in 1967. After being widowed with five young children she decided to become a home day care provider so she could earn a living and stay home with her children. In 1968 she was married to Edward Leroy Fuller and continued to care for children at home for 20 years. In 1988 she retired from day care and began working at the Ithaca City Schools in food service and was the Cafeteria Manager "the lunch lady" at the Beverly J. Martin School until retiring in 2001. After retiring she enjoyed reading, needlework, and playing cards with friends, using her computer and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving husband, Edward L. Fuller at home; her children, David A. (Sherry) Fuller of Loxley, AL, Wendy M. (Donald) Huston of Medical Lake, WA, Brian E. (Christina) Fuller of Newfield, Karen J. (Theodore) Woodard of Ithaca, Marcia A. Fuller of Newfield and Mark E. (Laurie) Fuller of Newfield; step-children, Onalee V. Carmer of Orlando, FL, Katherine A. Colton of Orlando, FL and Michael E. (Susan) Fuller of Summer Shade, KY; her siblings, Delores A. Kinsman of Ithaca, Donna L. Kinsman of Ithaca, Jerald W. Kinsman of Cortland, Jeffrey G. Kinsman of Ithaca; a sister-in-law, Alice Kinsman and a brother-in-law, Clifford Rich; thirteen grandchildren, eleven step grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in addition to her first husband, a son, Robert P. Fuller; a step-son, Douglas C. Fuller; a brother, Edwin P. Kinsman, Jr. and a sister, Deanna S. Rich.
Funeral services will be held at 5 PM. Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Katy Prince officiating. Burial will be private in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 3 to 5 PM, Thursday at the funeral home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden.
